It was really nice to have visited The Palace Of Westminster during the week for an event – The Palace of Westminster is the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the 2 houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Commonly known as the Houses of Parliament.

I was there on assignment for The Institute of Physics to photograph a ‘UK economy launch’ event held in the Churchill Rooms, attended by MPs and leaders from physics-based enterprises. The brief was to capture the highlights of the event including images of guests networking mingling, and the speeches. It all went very well.

After the event was finished and walking back through St Stephens’s Hall I noticed a souvenir shop selling amongst other things wine – which was a bit surprising, I brought a bottle of ‘House of Commons Merlot’ … which will do very nicely with tomorrow’s Sunday lunch.
