It was nice to have met Professor Brian Cox last week at the Institute of Physics Awards 2012 dinner at the wonderful InterContinental Hotel in London. Brian received the President’s Medal from Sir Peter Knight. I also photographed a further 36 award winners as they received their awards.
The day started with the first ever IOP Innovation Awards held earlier in the afternoon and I took images of the speakers during their presentations and of guests networking and mingling during lunch.
The dinner was attended by some 600 guests, Brian was the key speaker at the dinner and he ended his address by thanking the physics community, saying “Without you, I would have nothing to say the next time I stand on a mountain!”
