Zećira Mušović
Is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Chelsea in the Women’s Super League and also for the Swedish national woman’s team.
The assignment from Swedish Dagens Nyheter was to photograph Zećira for a forthcoming story about individual Swedish team players in the build up to the FIFA WORLD CUP 2023 kicking off in Australia & New Zealand on the 20th July.

Journalist Emma Lukins took this picture whilst I was photographing Zećira.
The images were taken in Kingston upon Thames which is not far from Kingsmeadow Stadium which is used for home matches by the Chelsea Women’s team.
The main image choice fell to using the background of the art installation “Out of Order” (by David Mach), the idea being that the red telephone boxes would give Zećira’s association with England for the Swedish readers.
Technically due to the intense midday sun it was a tricky image to take. The answer was to put Zecira on the shadow side of the telephone boxes and to light her up with flash from an off camera Profoto B10.
