It was great to have met up with Mette Linturi in London to take her portraits for Helsingin Sanomat. Mette is from Finland and she is a creative, dancer and model.
Our photographer Natalie Earthy did all the photography and I assisted with the lighting and took some video clips for the newspapers social media that can be seen on our blog.

Jean is the Professor of Media History at the University of Westminster and the Official Historian of the BBC. She is also the Director of the Orwell Prize and on the editorial board of Political Quarterly.
She is the author of the book Pinkoes and Traitors: The BBC and the nation, 1974–1987, she will publish in the Autumn of 2024 the next volume of the Corporations story.

Its always fun when your images turn up unexpectedly in the national media, here an image of artist Zara Larson in The Guardian.

The article was about Sommarpratare (summer speakers) on Swedish Radio (Sommar i P1), an annual Swedish radio institution in which guests are given 90 minutes to talk about a subject of their choice and play music. To be selected is considered such an honour that it’s been described as the Swedish equivalent to a knighthood. The nearest equivalent in the UK is the BBC’s Desert Island Discs.

There are many reasons for this happening the latest being the current crippling high energy costs to run a pub. For most British people pub life and its community spirt has been the backbone of the British way of life for generations.
Local communities are now fighting back and bucking the closure trend and are opening Community Pubs. More on the blog.
