Phantom Of The Opera Stockholm
This was the seconed time I had photographed actor Peter Jöback in his role as Phantom of the Opera. The first time was back in March 2012 when Peter took over the role at Her Majestys Theatre in London, he went on to do the Phantom in New York and is now back in his home country of Sweden to take on the role for a third time at the Cirkus in Stockholm with its premiere on the 14th September.
I met Peter together with Emmi Christensson & Anton Zetterholm. This photo session was taken back in May (only now published) in London and Emmi was then part of the Phantom’s London cast performing Christine Daaé (as she will in Stockholm) & Anton will be performing Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny.
It was a pleasure to have met them all and they were very friendly as were the team that were behind this exclusive photo session for Dagens Nyheter. Unfortunately at the time Her Majesty’s Theatre was covered in scaffolding and there were also restrictions about using the stage for photo’s so we went to Emmi’s changing room to take a group picture. Green Park was not far away and looked lovely on this Spring day so we went there where I photographed another group image and individual portraits – I felt it worked well.
