London Bookshops
I was given a very nice relaxed editorial assignment last week from Sweden’s leading daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter. It was ‘relaxed’ as the brief was to visit two bookshops in my own time during the day and to take images to illustrate a story about how small niche bookshops have survived the current recession.
I visited John Sandoe Books in Chelsea and Lutyens & Rubinstein Bookshop in Notting Hill. It was pleasing to visit these London bookshops and to browse through their very large selection, they have gained many new customers and have also kept their old customers through their dedicated personal service and by creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere.
