Knepp Wildland Project
An enjoyable assignment for the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet to photograph & film the Knepp Wildland Project on a 3,500-acre farm near Horsham, West Sussex.
Since returning to the wild, the Knepp Castle estate is now an important home for many endangered wildlife species including nightingales and is one of the major hotspots for the extremely rare Purple Emperor butterfly.
Our Knepp guide for the day was the very informative ecologist Laurie Jackson who drove us around the estate on a 2-hour vehicle safari. We encountered storks, tamworth pigs, red & fallow deer. A safari trip is highly recommended and various safaris & activities can be found here: Wildlife Safaris & Camping.
