Corporate Headshots On Location
Our client Air-Control contacted to take their headshots and group image in central London and they needed them done quickly whilst all 4 of them would be available together – it was a very busy week for them in the lead up to the launch of their new website today “For us it has been a challenging week as we’ve been agonising over all the finishing touches!”
They also required more than just a white background and required casual images with some ‘punch’ – we love a challenge! and we can also work very quickly. Walking to our meeting on the busy Strand I started looking for locations and noticed the steps leading down to Carting Lane and immediately knew that this would work well and it was just 100m from where we were to meet up.
I set up a simple lighting source using an off-camera fill in flash to counterbalance the bright sun which was giving a nice hair light, I asked them to stand at the top of the stairs which meant they had a clear ‘punchy’ background which I threw out of focus using a large aperture. From the first to last exposure took just 16 minutes.
