How to use a wireless microphone with Facebook Live
It took some time and a lot of testing but we are pleased to announce that we have vastly improved how we can produce our editorial Facebook Live feeds and we have now incorporated a high quality omnidirectional RØDE microphone for crisp voice production – the microphone is wireless and has a range of up to 100 metres.
The use of a wireless microphone will significantly improve the quality of a live stream – as we can now follow a reporter without the hassles of a microphone attached to a cable.
The visual experience will be so much better – such as following a reporter from a distance (up to 100m), to the side, in front, from behind & circling in 360˚ … and all the time with perfect broadcasting sound quality. The new Osmo 2 also has face recognition for steady video.
With our new system we can also use a wireless lapel microphone as well.
We have incorporate everything onto a steady mobile hand held platform that also includes a 36 bulb led-lighting unit for when required. The new Osmo Mobile 2 holds a battery charge up to 12 hours and it also charges the iPhone allowing for long Facebook Live feeds. Our set-up allows us to use the newer iPhone models with better video quality: iPhone 7, iPhone 8, & iPhone X.
