Corporate Portraits London EC4V
I was recently assigned by the Dubai-based CPI Media Group to photograph Raouf Ghali (President, Project Management Group) at Hill Internationals City Of London offices. The images and story have just been published in the magazine the Big Project which is the Middle East’s leading monthly B2B magazine for the construction industry.
It was with good timing and planning that the interview was held, the interviewee Raouf arrived on time having just flown in from New York and the interviewer Group Editor Stephen White arrived just a short while before having flown in from the United Arab Emirates.
Timing and planning are also key elements when taking corporate portraits, the time allocated for an interview is short and even shorter for the photography. I always arrive early and scout around the location looking for ideas and inspiration and just 50 meters away from the offices I found an outdoor location with concrete pillars I thought would work well – it did, and Raouf was willing to go there as all in all it would just take 5 minutes. On the way out of the offices I also photographed him in front of a London panoramic night scene that was wallpapered on the reception wall – using an off camera flash I was able to match the same contrast as on the wallpaper.
I was rather pleased with the result as 10 minutes photography gave 2 completely different scenes and it was edited in the magazine very well.
