Poundbury

A visit to the experimental town of Poundbury for the Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.

Poundbury on the outskirts of Dorchester, Dorset is built on the land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. The construction of the town designed by Prince Charles started in 1992 and is now some two-thirds complete and is expected to be fully completed by 2025.
The design of the town has a *Marmite effect on visitors and has received both criticism and praise from architectures and design critics.
