Niklas Zennstrom
It was interesting to have met and photographed Niklas Zennström for business magazine Affärsvärlden. The interview & photo shoot was held in the boardroom of the investment company Atomico on New Bond Street where Niklas runs both Atomico and the charity organisation Zennström Philanthropies.
From being recognised by Time Magazine as one of its 100 Most Influential People in 2006 Niklas has gone on to receive many more honours and awards for his entrepreneurial achievements. His most notable success to date is Skype.
The photo shoot went well, the client naturally expects good work and it is always ‘challenging’ when you know beforehand that you have to supply images for the cover and a number of inside pages … and when you arrive all you have is a room with 4 white walls. Luckily there was a large window overlooking the street which worked OK, for the cover I used the curtains as a backdrop and lit Niklas on just one side with a soft box mounted on an Elichrom Quadra which in my mind is the best mobile lighting system ever produced.
