London Walks Sherlock Holmes
I recently did 2 London walks for Dagens Nyheter’s Travel supplement. The first was the ‘In the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes’. We met up with our guide Corinna outside the Embankment Underground Station and finished 2 hours later at the The Sherlock Holmes Pub on Northumberland Street.
This was an interesting walk and we went sleuthing down the Strand’s gas-lit alleys, and around Covent Garden – an area whose “ever changing kaleidoscope of life” intrigued Holmes and Watson. There were a number of Sherlock Holmes enthusiasts on the tour and they really enjoyed themselves – as did I, I was also pleased to have found some new London photo locations for taking portraits.
