International Students Tuition Fees
On assignment for Dagens nyheter we travelled to Sheffield to meet Keith Burnett Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sheffield and current students who talked about their views on their own international students tuition fees.
It is still very attractive to study in the UK but in 2014 came a report that for the first time in 29 years the number of international students is falling. The students we met felt that the falling numbers was due to the raised annual fee of £13k and also due to the stricter language skill requirements and expensive complicated visa requirements. The view of many universities is that they depend on the income from international students and are worried about the governments current tighter immigration policy.
