Crewe Alexandra FC
It was a long return drive up to Alexandra Stadium in Crewe to photograph the FA CUP 3rd Round match between Crewe Alexandra FC – Barnsley F.C. (Result 1-3)
It may have been a long trip but it was a fun assignment for Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat. The reason for going there was that in the match were 2 Finnish players – Crewe’s Finnish Goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen & Barnsley’s centre-back Aapo Halme, who unfortunately watched the match from the stands.
Before the match met up with fans at Benny’s Fish & Chip shop outside the stadium and asked Crewe’s fans their views on their keeper Will, which were very positive – some thought that he was that good that he could soon be brought and move to a larger club.
